Mechanical FEA Evaluation
Redrock offers several Mechanical FEA services. These including Static Analysis of stress/strain for failure (think basket designs that don’t crack or bend during drop testings), Packaging Analysis, and Non-Linear parts design. Non-linear mechanical FEA allows us to design spiders and edge’s that meet performance targets the first time. This engineering discipline is equal parts technology, experience, material science and magic. We have probably designed as many or more speaker parts using non-linear FEA than even the big boys with three letter acronyms. This critical part of a loudspeaker design is often performed by trial and error resulting in less than perfect match of the components. Our designs mean better performance, longer product life and less failures.
