In addition to measuring the nonlinear electro-mechanical parameters, the Klippel system can measure the nonlinear thermal properties of a speaker. These can be used to predict the thermal failure point and compression.
Where it's most useful
The results are especially useful when fine-tuning the cooling methods in a speaker — conduction paths, forced convection, heat sinks, and so on.
