Integrated assembly design

The Edge / Cone / Cap tab module designs the surround, cone, and dustcap separately as well as a single integrated mechanical assembly. Inputs for the surround geometry are similar to the spider, with similar performance outputs.

Outputs and real-time visualization

Outputs include Kms, Cms, Xmax positive and negative, breakpoint displacements, total moving mass (Mmd and Mms), and cone resonance (Fo). The cross-section panel updates in real time, showing both displaced and neutral positions for immediate visual feedback as geometry parameters are adjusted.

Nonlinear F(x) and Kms(x) curves are available alongside a combined spider-plus-edge compliance analysis that accounts for the interaction between the two suspension elements.

Direct integration with main design

These outputs can be fed directly into the main design page for more accurate parameters. They can also be fed into the response tab for a performance approximation incorporating BL(x) and Kms(x).
